when my marching band was decent we would go compete in festivals. I saw a band that had a full pit with marimba. I never felt bad for a person until one of their directors yelled at them to get on the field faster. I'm an alto saxophone player (unloved bastard instrument in concert band, sort of appreciated in jazz).
